IX-XATT L-AĦMAR BAY
The name of this bay litterally means "Red beach". Although secluded, ix-Xatt l-Ahmar lies within the sights of the Guardiola (guard post) of Fort Chambray and is accessible through a narrow road winding from the village of Ghajnsielem.

A small number of boat houses shelter some fishermen's boats during the winter. The bay is ideal both for swimming and for diving. The wreck of the once Malta-Gozo Ferryboat "Xlendi" lies in the depths of this location, making the bay an excellent dive-site.
