The upgrading of a section of the arterial road network from San Lawrenz to Rabat stems directly from the objectives of Priority 4 (Regional Distinctiveness – Gozo Special Needs) of the Single Programming Document.

The project will enable the upgrading of a 3.3km stretch of the arterial road network - San Lawrenz to Rabat. The project involves the reconstruction of the road pavement, engineering structures, construction and improvement of junctions, surface water drainage facilities, landscaping works, lighting, signage and traffic management.
